Religion vs Religion
One of the most haunting to questions i think to anyone who believes in religion is... does religion actually exist. Are we going to look back on christianity and catholicism in 2000 years and treat this belief system the way we treat the Greeks and Romans beliefs in the Gods. Who is right? Many people believe religion was created to help mankind deal with the realization that death will happen. Do i firmly believe in God and life after death? You're darn right i do. I will never not believe what i believe but i can't say for certain what i believe is factual. Who can honestly say that. Maybe the Romans and the Greeks got it right and there are God's for every thing. As a nation the United States thinks they are the most powerful country to ever exist. But we have only been around for 200 years. The Roman empire was 2000 years old and spread over a vast majority of the world. Could they be right in their thinking? Who are we to say no to that. I honestly don't know what provoked me to write this but it is honestly how i feel. I have mixed feeling about everything and i am constantly second guessing my choices and my beliefs. We called what the Mayan's did barbaric for offering up human sacrifices to please the Gods. We've killed millions of people in the name of religion. Who knows in how long they will look back at our existence and think the exact same thing. We've made unbelievable advances in all matters from, medicine, to technology and so on and so on. But we need to evolve mentally, we need to not hide behind our religion but embrace it. We shouldn't judge people for not believing as you do, we do not need to force religion on anyone but be compassionate towards everyones cause. We must not ignore global warming causes but find solutions to solve this problem. The one draw back i have against many americans is they think their voice won't matter. Imagine if Thomas Jefferson and John Adams felt this way, we might not have the freedom to write these blogs or express our ideas as we do. If anyone happened to come across this please remember one man can't change the world but one mans idea can. Believe in yourself and aspire to be the one to make the world a much better place. That's all i have to say about that. Have a happy weekend!!
