Hit-Boy - All I've Ever Dreamed Of
I am listening to the first track of the complation Album featuring artists from Hitboys label HS87 and all i can say is wow! he is amazing and to me is going to be the next Kanye West. He produces his own beats and his flow is only getting tighter and better. I don't know what you can say about this guy that's going to be bad, he's done nothing but put out hit after hit after hit. I am going to write a complete review of this album but for now listen to this Album, if you're a hip hop head you won't be disappointed.

DeAndre Jordan Alley-Oop Dunk over Brandon Knight
This dunk is by far the dunk of the year! What
Deandre Jordan did to Brandon Knight was mean and i feel for the kid. He made
the right play by going up and challenging Jordan at the rim but it didn't
really work out that well for him. I guess he caught up on that hour of sleep he
lost. I mean did the ref really have to call the foul on top of it. He should
have just let the game keep going. I honestly thought Jordan was getting ejected
for assault and battery. But this is what you get with the Clippers, you get
electric plays and highlight dunks. Do they have enough to win a championship? I
am not convinced but you may want to ask Brandon Knight what he thinks.

Lebron vs Kobe
This topic has been on everyone's mind lately. Will Lebron James be better than Michael Jordan? This is a fair question that cannot be answered today. Michael Jordan is the GOAT plain and simple. He won 6 championships with 6 finals MVP's and more importantly never lost in the finals. When it is all said and done this will be Lebron's achilies heel as well as Kobe's. I don't think Kobe is as great as Lebron James is and i will explain that in here as well. But Lebron could win 9 titles with 9 finals MVP's and he will always be hit with the "had to leave to win" or the "didn't go undefeated" the only person who can say that in this conversation is Jordan. He changed the game of basketball the way Lebron is doing it right now. Jordan left you in awe... scratching your head as to how he was able to do that. Lebron has me giggling like a little school girl with the wonderful things he does on the court. But when all is said and done we really can't have this conversation until Lebron's career is over. But we can discuss Lebron vs Kobe.
Kobe is one of the greatest scorers and players of all time, but he shouldn't be in Jordan's category or ever mentioned in the same breath. All the Laker fans will argue "he has 5 rings" so what? Horry has 7 does that make him better than both Kobe and Jordan? nope! not by a long shot. Kobe only has 2 finals MVP's, which means the first three he won, he wasn't the best player on their team. And it is 100% true. Shaq carried that team, because when he left they never made it out of the second round, until they traded for a few all stars and then it was Kobe's time to shine. He carved up the league after falling short to the celtics and made sure he left his stamp on the Lakers franchise by winning 2 more championships to put his ring to 5. Again i am not taking anything away from the black mamba or what he's done but Lebron his hitting his prime and doing things no else has seen in... well ever. He got the monkey off his back and doesn't seem to taking his foot off the gas pedal as he is well on his way to another MVP. If the Heat win a title this year and Lebron wins the finals MVP he will signify that he is better than Kobe. Meaning when they won he was the most dominate player on the team with still years to play ahead of him. Kobe is great one on one but he doesn't have what Jordan and Lebron have. Kobe doesn't make his teammates better, as you can see from the dismal .500 season the lakers are having with arguably the best lineup in sports. Lebron makes everyone better and still gets his points boards and asists. Kobe has never done that. Lebron takes what is given to him in the game. He plays the game the right way, game on the line they bring a double team to Lebron he'll pass to the open man for the shot. People confuse this with shying away from the pressure and i will admit it would frustrate me to see him do this, but then he started demanding the ball, the way Kobe does the way Jordan does and he started getting to basket. He now takes games over late and punishes you inside and when you play off of him to take away the penetration he is having his best shooting year from beyond the arc. Lebron makes everyone around him better, Kobe is great one on one and can shoot over double teams and make em. But it doesn't make him the GOAT or even close. Lebron will never match Jordan but he will surpass Kobe and Laker fans don't want to hear it but it's the truth. Anyone who doubts this is simply in denial.

Welcome to the Land of Misfit Toys
I have been looking for the origin of this for the longest time and have come up with nothing. I might as well say this is the first time i have posted anything in a very long time. It feels good to actually write some things out.. I still haven't heard anything about manuscript and i am starting to get stressed out. I want to have my story told and making money would be a plus but i am more excited because the message i hope it sends. but that is a post for another day. I kept coming across this and i love it, but i wanted to know who originally came up with this? what their state of mind would have been when they thought about this. because to me this quote means going against the grain. it means beating to a different beat. being yourself even if that mean being different. Don't conform because its the cool thing to do. hope you guys think about that. Have a great night and i will be posting more later.

Terrible Day In America
I am sitting here staring at my computer screen, an empty feeling inside of me. How can someone do something so terrible to children. What is the world coming too when stuff like this happens? I wanted to talk about the ignorant ramblings of Rob Parker, but how can you after something like this happens. There is nothing more precious than the innocence of a child. I see it first hand everyday when I play with my 3 year old nephew. I can't even begin to imagine what those families are going through and I know there is nothing that can be done or said to bring those families comfort. I'm going through different emotions here, sadness, anger, pity, anger some more. I want to know how this 20 year old got on an elementary school campus. This shouldn't be aloud. We must protect our children at all costs. Do I think metal detectors at all school entrances will stop anything? No it won't. This man shouldn't have been walking around campus. If he had a kid there then wait in the office, you are not aloud on school property. Is outlawing guns the answer? No. There should be more restrictions when buying a weapon. Guns are very violent yes but in the arms of someone who isn't right in the head. I can sit here and say it's television, video games, parenting and society but at the end of the day its all of those things. His parents need to be more mindful of him and communication is so big amongst family. Not the generic "how was your day?" I got home from work and was exhausted my mother came into my room and asked if i was okay. She saw something in my eyes that wasn't always there. Parents have this connection with their kids and need to confront the issue head on instead of denying that it's there. I am an avid video gamer and love the Call Of Duty franchise. It is very violent and the main purpose is to kill, but i have never once thought about grabbing a gun and doing something so terrible. Banning video games is going to the extreme, it would be like banning shoe laces because 20% of suicides are by kids who hang themselves with shoe laces. You don't treat the symptoms you treat the underlying problem. We need to do that. TV has been violent for years and the mainstream media i feel has done a great job showing how terrible events like this are. I love television and watch violent shows, The Wire is one of my favorite shows of all time. It's about drug dealers and the police trying to catch them. But this doesn't make me want to go by a dime bag and shoot up on a corner with bubbs. Parents are looking for any excuse to take the blame off themselves. We do it as a society and it needs to stop. We must take ownership of the situations and strive as a whole to make it right. We can't be worried about people looking at you differently because your son or daughter needs mental help. We can't have these generic conversations with no substance and we need to start being honest with each other and more importantly ourselves. My thoughts and prayers are with the families who are struggling to cope with what has happened. I am deeply sorry that such tragedies happen.

The New Trailer For Man Of Steel
I am really excited for this movie now. The new trailer shows glimpses of Jonathan Kent (played by Kevin Costner) and Louis Lane (played by Amy Adams). You briefly see General Zod (played by Michael Shannon) who was Jor-El's(played by Russell Crowe) right hand man. He was the general of the Krytonian Army and is responsible for the destruction of the planet. Diane Lane plays Martha Kent and from the look of this star studded cast the movie is going to have very high expectations. I am so glad they are doing an Origin of Superman and not just jumping into him being the hero everyone loves. I want to see him struggle with his dual identities I want him to be more human in that sense. I wasn't sure if i was going to like the suit without the red speedo but I think the new suit gives him more of an edge and isn't so generic. I know the blue and red is classic Superman but maybe they need to take a different angle and it looks like they are doing that. I haven't really seen any stills from the Daily Planet and I hope they make it a little more realistic than they did on Smallville even though that is one of my favorite shows of all time. Either way i can't wait til next summer. It is going to be amazing!

Pearl Harbor: A Day of Infamy
This was an unbelievable time in American history. It was a surprise attack on the United States, and the biggest misconception in the attack, is that it was unprovoked. Now i am the biggest believer in America and could not be prouder to be part of this great nation. But we are at fault as a nation here. There was evidence to suggest that Japan was going to attack Pearl Harbor. The intel was hunches and thoughts, the United States decided against mobilizing our fleet because it would cost to much money to move the ships and mobilize the fleet all because of a hunch. The moment our government made this decision they put a price on the men and women who were stationed here. If i was there or it was a member of my family i would want them to do everything to protect them. This was a terrible day, but with this tragedy came one of the best wars America has ever been involved in. Let me be clear I think war in general is terrible, but what this war brought was freedom for million of Jewish men and women who were being murdered at the hands of Adolf Hitler. It brought our economy back from the dead and made the United States a power house in terms of Military prowess. The bad thing about this was the dominance and the bully our country became. It was manifest destiny all over again. We thought we were entitled to things that didn't belong to us. We established bases throughout Europe and became a police to the world. I understand why we did it, to protect innocent people from men like Hitler, but we let Joseph Stalin do it to his people. If we were really concerned about the welfare of others we would have removed Joseph Stalin from power. Again this is just my point of view on things. But in the end i want to give thanks to the men and women past and present who fight to keep our freedom and protect our unalienable rights.
